Hair Salon

Gerri Keane – Founder & Director

Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Gerri moved to England in 1984 and has worked for some of the biggest names in the industry. He worked in various roles ranging from managing the salon on the ocean liner QE2, to Supervisor of Technical Research and Development for Wella Haircare UK. He has been a training manager for a major Hair salon group and a salon manager. Gerri has worked as a freelance stylist and even appeared on stage at The Royal Albert Hall, for the L,oreal Colour Trophy competition final, as a guest artist for L’oreal.

In 1997 he opened what was to be a very successful salon in Hampshire. In 2003 Gerri and his partner sold up to relocate and live in Harrogate.

Gill – Principal Stylist

After training and working in Harrogate with a major salon group for almost 10 years, Gill moved to our salon and quickly established herself as a major influence in the set up and development of Dangerfield & Keane.

Gill is a very popular stylist who specialises in colouring and permanent hair straightening services as well as being an excellent cutter.

Mandi – Principal Stylist

Mandi trained with Toni & Guy at the Manchester Academy and worked with Gill for many years in Harrogate. She moved to Dangerfield & Keane and was a founder member of staff when the salon opened, and has worked tirelessly with us since then. During her long career Mandi was the winner of the North East L’Oreal Colour Trophy, and competed in the National Final of the L’Oreal Colour Trophy. Mandi is a qualified assessor and holds an A2 award for NVQ qualifications. She works within our salon as a self employed stylist.

Shaun – Front of House & Salon Manager

Shaun has established himself in a unique position within our salon. He is a gifted and talented man, who uses his experience to great advantage to ensure that our clients get the best customer service available.

Originally from the health and leisure industry, Shaun’s organisational skills are at the heart of this successful salon.

His people skills and his unflappable approach to his role as Front of House Manager have earned him the respect and affection of both the people he works with and the clients he takes care of. It is most likely that your first contact with our salon will be via Shaun and we are confident that you will be extremely well looked after.

Kate – Colour Technician & Graduate Stylist

Back in 2010, Kate joined us a young trainee and has worked extremely hard during that time and has now earned her recent promotion to Colour Technician. Kate is now working extremely hard to earn her wings as a Graduate Stylist and we believe she will be a high flyer in our salon in the future.

Kate has already attended many external training courses with L’oreal, Wella and Bumble & bumble in Leeds, Manchester and London. She has become an extremely popular member of our team as a Colourist and we think she has the makings of a talented stylist with a bright future.

 

Shane – Principle Stylist

Originally from Trinidad, Shane moved to the UK in 2003 and trained as a Hairdresser in London.
He has worked with such names as Harvey Nichols, Space NK, Esprit, Visnu and was formerly a Style Director at Toni & Guy.
Shane is a stylist with many years of experience to his credit and joins us at the top of our grading of stylists.

He holds his A1 Assessors award in Hairdressing, BTEC National Diploma in Fashion and Media Make-up, NVQ 2 and NVQ 3 in Hairdressing as well as a qualification in Tailoring.

Jenna – Salon Stylist

Jenna joined the team in March 2011, having relocated to Harrogate from Lincolnshire.

A talented and creative stylist with over 6 years experience on the salon floor, Jenna is currently working on her NVQ 3 in Hairdressing.

She is a versatile stylist who enjoys colour work as much as creative cutting.

Jenna has proved to be a big hit with our regular and new clients alike.

Beauty Suite

Vikki Edwards – Owner & Principle Therapist, The Beauty Suite

After training and working in Harrogate for almost 10 years, Vikki decided it was time for her own business. Vikki was involved with the development of the salon from the onset and The Beauty Suite at Dangerfield & Keane is the result of the energy and drive that Vikki has brought to the team. Vikki’s experience ranges from small regular beauty treatments to total full body therapies and she is always seeking out the newest techniques to add to her salon’s portfolio.

Sarah – Therapist, The Beauty Suite

Sarah was a colleague of Vikki’s for some time before joining her at The Beauty Suite. She is passionate about her work and has attended many external training courses including in depth knowledge courses on the Murad range of Skincare used in the salon. Sarah has worked tirelessly with Vikki, and in doing so has developed a large following of loyal clients.
